April workshops of the Muslim Denomination or how dozens of children made benefit of their spring holiday

Dozens of Muslim children from different parts of Bulgaria decided not to waste their time in the long-awaited spring holiday in April. Exactly the opposite – they made use of it by taking part in religious workshops, organized by the Muslim Denomination.

The several-day lasting workshops were for students from 4th to 8th grade and were held within the period from 9th till 14th of April, 2017 in different parts of the country. All of them passed under the title “Let’s know our religion”.

Workshops for boys were held in the village of Delchevo, Razgrad region, in the village of Kran, Stara Zagora region, and in the village of Ustina, Plovdiv region. The total number of the boys who took part in the three workshops was 63.

The workshop for girls was held in the base of the central mosque in the town of Rudozem and was attended by 26 girls.

The participating small Muslims – boys and girls from all four workshops, successfully combined useful with pleasant during their stay. They had educational activities on Sirah, Fiqh, Aqaid and Akhlaq. In some of the workshops the participants used their spare time from the activities for memorization of chapters of the Holy Qur’an. For example all boys in Kran at the end of their stay have memorized chapter “Fatiha” and some of them also another 2 or 3 chapters.

The organizers or the workshops did not underestimate also the role and the importance of the games and leisure activities the for the children, that is why in the afternoons the participants had the opportunity to participate in different sports and entertaining programs, as well as to visit local natural or historical sites. The participants in Kran went to the peak of Shipka and visited the Monument of Freedom. The students from the workshop in Ustina had an organized hiking to the waterfall near the village, and the girls in Rudozem went to the regional city of Smolyan.

Some of the tutors and the teachers in the workshops were present students from different universities in the country.

Within the held workshops the participating boys and girls were visited by employees from Grand Mufti’s Office. They sent greetings and best wishes to the students from the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Mustafa Hadzhi, and on behalf of the Muslim Denomination the students received gifts - educational books.

Within the days of 10th and 11th of April this year the Muslim Denomination managed to make happy and to vary the daily life of the children from the Qur’an courses in the town of Aytos. The boys who are also students from 4th to 8th grade went hiking and on picnics. They, in the same way like their peers from the workshops, received gifts from the organizers.
