Imams and chairmen of Muslim boards of trustees from Aytos region met for a regular monthly meeting

 

On November 22 (Wednesday) 2017 Regional Mufti’s Office – Aytos held its regular monthly meeting with the imams and the chairmen of the Muslim boards of trustees from the region. It took place in the mosque of the town of Aytos.

The meeting was traditionally opened with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by the imam of the village of Rechitsa Ahmed Yusein. After that the Regional Mufti of Aytos Selyatin Muharem as a host welcomed all participants and informed them about the agenda of the meeting. It included topics and issues related to this year’s campaign in support of orphans – Orphans’ Week, launched by Grand Mufti’s Office, the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for year 2018, the celebration of the birth of the Prophet (pbuh) – Mawlid kandili and others.

The Head of “Irshad” Department at Regional Mufti’s Office - Aytos Hysein Salim presented to his colleagues the topic related to the preparation of the campaign “Orphans’ Week” which this year will take place in the period from November 27 to December 3. The imams were informed about the plan on Friday, December 1, in all mosques to be delivered thematic sermons. All of them were given sets of information materials dedicated to and promoting the social campaign.

Within the meeting held the Regional Mufti of Aytos Selyatin Muharem discussed with the chairmen of the Muslim boards of trustees in the region the organization of reporting meetings, and if necessary – also election meetings of the boards of trustees.

There was also raised the question about finding solution for the problem with the mosques in Aytos region where there are no imams. Among the proposals was to search for young and motivated Muslims who wish to attend training for imams at the existing for this purpose courses in the country.

The meeting ended with best wishes of the Regional Mufti of Aytos Selyatin Muharem for the fruitful and successful carrying out of Orphans’ Week 2017.
