Muslim leaders began European tour with a message against terrorism

Imams from all over the world gathered in Paris and on 7th of July, 2017 started from Champs Elysees an European bus tour which they called “Muslims’ march against terrorism”.

In the march will participate nearly 60 Muslim religious leaders from Europe and North Africa and their aim is to visit the sites of recent terrorist attacks. The idea for organizing “Muslims’ march against terrorism” is of the imam of the Paris suburb Drancy, Hassen Chalghoumi and Marek Halter, a French-Jewish writer. This is their way to pay tribute to the victims and to condemn any form of terrorism.

“Our message is clear: Islam cannot be associated with these barbarians and these murders, who kill in the name of Allah” - said Chalghoumi, on the organization of the peaceful march, reported the French newspaper LeFigaro.

The first stop of the Muslim leaders within the European tour was the German capital Berlin where in December the last year there was a terrorist attack with a truck and 12 people died.

After the visit in Germany the tour will continue to Brussels, there will be stops also in Toulouse and Nica. It is expected the march of peace to end this Friday in Nica at the site where exactly a year ago was committed an attack with a truck on the seafrontin which were killed nearly 80 people and dozens more were injured.

There will be also held a homage to victims, where among the official guests is expected to be also the French President.
