Qurban – khatam in the village of Medovets, 12 children read the entire Qur’an

On August 20 (Thursday), 2020 in the village of Medovets, Municipality of Dalgopol, Varna district, was held an official qurban-khatam on the occasion of reading the entire Qur’an by 12 children.
The event began at 11:30 with a speech by the Mufti of Varna about the importance of these events and their organization in the future. Then the floor was given to the Consulate of the Republic of Turkey. The program began with Qur’an recitation by Yusuf Muhammed, a student in the Qur’an course in Varna. There participated 13 children in total, the 12 who completed the Qur’an and one who recited a beautiful poem dedicated to faith.
The event was attended by the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas Senem Güzel, the Religious Affairs Attaché at the Embassy Şemsettin Şimşek, the Regional Mufti of Varna Nuray Shukri, the mufti’s representative in Provadia Oktay Hashim, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Dalgopol Emrula Emrula the Mayor of Medovets Halil Ismail as well as the local imams.
For the preparation of the event were sacrificed 19 animals and with their meat were cooked 11 pots of food. About 500 people attended the celebration.
The event was closed by the Grand Mufti who made a khatam dua (supplication).
