In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful…

Dear Muslim brothers and sisters,

Once again we meet the Night of Ragha’ib, also called “the night of dreams”, “the night of wishes”, “the night of desires”… Every single person has their dreams, every living person has their desires. The greatest dream of a person who wants to live his life rationally, is to be close to the Glorified and Exalted Allah, because when he is close to Him, all of his problems are easily resolved. That is why during this night Muslims do their best to make a dua (supplication) to Allah (S.T.), to turn to Him, asking Him for help in resolving the troubles and making easy their anxieties, to grant them happiness and success! Because, after all, a person lives to be happy. A person lives to show that he exists in this world.

The Night of Ragha’ib is a night in which Muslims not only make dua, but they are trying to understand the wisdom of Qur’an-i-Kerim, the wisdom of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the wisdom of Islam and the philosophy of life. Even more than that, every year on the Night of Ragha’ib, the night between the fourth and the fifth day in the month of Rajab, Muslims do their acts of worship to Allah (S.T.). It is also very important to try to take stock of our life from the past year to the present moment – did we get what we expected, if so – did we thank Allah (S.T.), or if we did not receive what we had expected and wished – to think about the reason for this… Were we wrong in something or Allah want to give us more than what we are dreaming of? In this context it would be good if every single Muslims devote himself to worshipping on the night of Ragha’ib, to stay alone with himself and his thoughts – to look at his internal world and to try to improve first of all his relations with the Exalted Allah, and then with the people around him and, along with this, with himself.

It is the Exalted Allah Who gives guidance and we ask Him to help all people to feel the sweetness of faith and their acts of worship.

May the Exalted Allah accept the acts of worship of all Muslims!
