After almost 3 months of break due to the declared state of emergency in our country, Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo held a meeting with the imams from the region. It took place on June 10 (Wednesday) this year in the premises of Regional Mufti’s Office in the Old capital of Bulgaria.

The participants in the meeting discussed how the last month’s Ramadan passed and the performing the congregational Eid prayer in the settlements. An analysis of the annual national campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office “Month of Islamic education support”, which this year took place from April 24 to May 24, was made.

Due to the emergency situation in the country, which continued several consecutive months, the imams from the region of Veliko Tarnovo also discussed the ways and the strategies for the implementation of the Islamic activities during the state of emergency. The participants in the working meeting were informed about the details related to the upcoming admission exam for the Higher Islamic Institute for 2020/2021 academic year, which will take place on July 1 this year from 09:00 o’clock in the building of the Institute in the capital.

“In the framework of the held meeting we presented a honorary plaque on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office to the imam of the village of Kesanovo Ismail Mutalibov for his active participation and his contribution during the national campaign “Orphans’ Week”, held by Grand Mufti’s Office in the end of 2019. Imam Mutalibov was awarded for his activity, despite his advanced age (86 years), as well as for always doing his best to support the initiatives of the Regional Mufti’s Office and the Muslim Denomination.”- the secretary of the Mufti’s Office in Veliko Tarnovo Yashar Mehmedov commented on the presenting of the award.
