Mufti’s Office in the capital held a one-day workshop for women
Regional Mufti’s Office – Sofia organized a one-day workshop for women on 1st of February, 2015. The event took place at the Media Center of the Grand Mufti’s Office where sixty-five women from the capital city and the town of Samokov took an active part. The lecturers Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi – Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria, Dr. Sefer Hasanov – a lecturer at the High Islamic Institute – Sofia, Dr. Arif Abdullah – Chairman of RS at the HII and Halil Hodzhov – Head of “Irshad” Department at the Grand Mufti’s Office spoke on actual topics, where after each of the lectures an active discussion took place. Topics, such as the clothing and the adornments of the woman according to the Qur’an and the Sunnah, the image of woman in the Qur’an, the role of the woman in the different periods of the Islamic history and the woman through the prism of modern times were discussed.
