Dear Muslim brothers and sisters,

There are no words to express the blessing which the Exalted Allah bestows on his servants on this night. He Himself says that Laylat al-Qadr is superior to a thousand months, which equals 83 years. Not everyone lives that long, but one night of ibadah (worship) can bring benefit to a person more than the entire life he has lived.

On that night was revealed the Qur’an, which is a light and a guide for the mankind and the wisdom of which gives the people the opportunity to reinvent themselves. There was revealed the Qur’an, which is the only way to happiness in this world and on the Hereafter. The Qur’an without which the justice in this world is inconceivable and without which the world would not be the same. That is why Laylat al-Qadr is the night of the salvation of mankind, but not only on this world. It is the connection of the people with the Exalted Allah and is also support for the believers.

On this night Allah sends so many angels that the earth appears small to gather them. And why do these angels come? The answer is in the Qur’an itself:

The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth.

(Sura Ash-Shuraa:5)

There remains the question what are people doing and in particular what are Muslims doing during that night? Do they use it in the best way? What is the condition of a person who behaves irresponsibly when someone defends him before the judge of the judges? These are questions to which everyone must find a satisfactory answer for himself.

May Allah accept the dua (supplication) of each of us this night; to help everyone to find the Right Path and to make them happy both in this world and on the Hereafter!
